This job is for an entry-level 2nd shift Maintenance Technician position which should display potential to be developed. Technicians at this level demonstrate an ability to use basic hand tools and be an asset to the maintenance department but normally require direct supervision to ensure work is safely and effectively being performed.
Essential Duties:
-
Perform various tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor including but not limited to Electrical construction, fabrication, or facility repairs

Use of facilities CMMS to document the completion of corrective maintenance workorders and PMs
-
Installation of new equipment and possible movement of existing equipment
-
Fabrication of parts and equipment as needed using shop equipment
-
Must be flexible with tasks and responsibilities
-
Must have a strong desire to learn new skills
-
Assist Maintenance A technicians as needed to maintain production
-
Complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner

Follow all environmental regulations and procedures while completing assigned tasks
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Degree in a maintenance-based training program preferred but not required or a minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a relevant field required
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical wiring required
Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
-
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
-
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Computer Skills:
-
Some computer knowledge will be required.
Training Requirements:
-
Complete required training in LOTO, Arc flash, Lift Truck Operation, and Hot Work
Tools, Equipment, and Material Requirements:
- Must possess personal tools and toolbox
Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance

Must be able to climb a ladder

Must have adequate hearing and eyesight

Must have good dexterity
