Our Design Technology team has an opening for a Data Integration Specialist in our Overland Park studio.

Position Summary 

As a Data Integration Specialist at DLR Group, you will help connect data, people, and systems to support a smarter, more efficient design practice. You’ll develop and maintain automated workflows that streamline processes across the firm, improve data quality, and enable better insights for decision-making. This role is part of our Design Technology and IT teams, where innovation, collaboration, and technical curiosity drive continuous improvement. You’ll help shape the firm’s digital transformation by building scalable integrations and automations that align with DLR Group’s long-term data strategy.

What You Will Do

  • Design, build, and maintain automated workflows to connect enterprise systems and improve data flow across teams
  • Develop and manage Airtable environments that track project, performance, and operational data
  • Create user-friendly intake forms and interfaces for structured data collection using platforms such as Fillout
  • Partner with IT, Design Technology, and Data Science teams to ensure secure, reliable data pipelines and governance alignment
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency across design and business operations
  • Document workflows, dependencies, and integrations to ensure systems are scalable and well maintained
  • Support training and onboarding for team members using low-code tools and automation platforms
  • Research and implement new API connections or integrations to expand the firm’s digital ecosystem

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Design Technology, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • 3-5 years of professional experience developing low-code or no-code solutions and process automations
  • Proficiency with tools such as Airtable and Workato, or similar automation platforms
  • Experience creating and managing web-based intake forms or data applications
  • Understanding of APIs, data modeling, and system integrations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving technology needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or related data analytics tools
  • Experience integrating data between business systems and design technology platforms
  • Knowledge of Revit, BIM workflows, or design technology systems
  • Certification in Workato, Airtable, Power Platform, or similar tools
  • Demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning mindset related to digital innovation and automation
