JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting - Gather, prepare and analyze user requirements for designing and creating Participate in technical code review as needed. Conduct proper testing and validation. Utilize enterprise data systems (such as Epic Slicer Dicer, Caboodle & Clarity, SAP/Crystal, Business Objects, etc.) to develop and modify reports and dashboards. Perform change management when reporting system modifications are needed. Coordinate the scheduling of reports in production. Follow all build, configuration and release management and user and technical documentation standards set by CCHMC. Perform reporting consolidation and analysis duties to ensure content alignment with enterprise standards. Learn to translate business user questions into data solutions. Utilize the CCHMC information glossary to refer to governed definitions when analyzing and creating reports.
Training - Provide end user training as required for new hires or when changes are made to existing applications/systems. Create educational materials for end user training including, but not limited to job aides, lesson plans & quick start guides.
Technical skill - Develop knowledge and professional skills through cross training, literature and attendance at department meetings and vendor education. Keep current with the submission of departmental and hospital required documentation and completing departmental and hospital required training. Obtain and/or maintain appropriate technical certifications (including Epic certifications if applicable). Develop oral and written communication skills, especially related to system changes and updates. Review and execute testing plans.
Reporting - Create new simple Business Intelligence solution designs and modify and execute more complex solutions based on existing designs and templates. Participate actively in project planning and meetings. Prepare and submit detailed documentation and status reports in accordance with department standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
Analysis - Analyze Business Intelligence requests to align with existing tools and processes. Organize and complete assigned tasks and associated documentation upon directives from supervisor. Develop and use troubleshooting skills to effectively support Business Intelligence solutions. Escalate unresolved issues with urgency. Seek the appropriate resources needed for activities with multiple tasks. Be personally accountable for commitments to project timelines and deliverables. Effectively work with cross functional teams and customers to identify build deficiencies based on customer reporting requests.

Experience using Epic Slicer Dicer, Caboodle & Clarity, SAP/Crystal, and Business Objects.
Strong data analysis skills
Experience creating and customizing dashboards
