POSITION OPENING

SCHOOL BASED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Education:        

• High School Diploma or certified GED required
• Advanced training preferred
• Certificate/License required:
• Must hold a valid Basic Peace Officer certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement
• Must have a valid Driver’s License

Experience:      

• One or more years of successful law enforcement experience as a commissioned peace officer preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

• Ability to work with students and school aged children
• Good human relation and communication skills
• Knowledge to present crime prevention programs (in a classroom setting) preferred

Duty Days:  226 day schedule
