The position is responsible for managing and enhancing business member relationships in Family Trust markets. This includes being the primary contact for business members, liaison for treasury management services, originating small member business loan requests, approval of treasury management services within assigned limits, relationship management, and business development. Sells and cross-sells additional products and services of the credit union.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Actively participates in a business development plan to increase their loan and deposit portfolio of business members in assigned market
- Serves as primary contact between business member and treasury management to ensure a seamless process for members (ex. Coordinate account opening).
- Collaborate effectively with Commercial Business Development Officers, Treasury Management Sales Officers, and Retail
- Develop consultative relationships with prospects and clients to add value by delivering appropriate banking solutions
- Represent Family Trust in the community and in meetings with business members, prospects, industry associations, etc. to develop new business.
- Understands the financial services offered by the credit union while specializing in small member business loans, business deposits, and treasury products and services. Also assists with other services such as stop payments, wire transfers, and other maintenance functions within assigned limits.
- Originate small member business loan applications and refer appropriate requests to Commercial Business Development Officers
- Ensure that all required documentation is in file for all loans and deposits
- Clear documentation or compliance deficiencies noted by Loan and Deposit Operations or other review
- Seeks the opportunity for new depository or treasury management business within existing portfolio and through networking with new business members. Able to identify business member needs and expectations by listening to clues and through meaningful conversations.
- Addresses business member concerns and/or issues with courtesy and discretion with a focus on satisfying the member. Escalates and/or redirects business members to other resources for assistance as required.
- Assesses and effectively manages all risks associated with job function within credit union compliance and regulations. Knows and ensures compliance with all banking regulations, to include Regulation CC, Bank Secrecy Act, and Fair Lending.
- Develop a strong understanding of member-facing technology with the ability to discuss with and enroll members in self-service options.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with all BSA related regulations and internal policies and procedures. Understand and comply with credit union policy, laws, regulations, and the credit union’s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhering to internal procedures and controls; reporting any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious member and/or account activity.
