The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments and materials. This role ensures all products are delivered in good condition, match purchase orders, and are correctly documented in the company’s inventory system. The Receiving Clerk plays a key role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and supporting the overall supply chain process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• •    Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
  •    Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies; report any issues to the purchasing department.
  •    Record and maintain accurate receiving data in the inventory management system.
  •    Label and store received materials in designated warehouse locations.
  •    Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, and production teams to ensure proper flow of goods.
  •    Manage return shipments and ensure proper documentation for rejected or incorrect deliveries.
  •    Assist in maintaining material levels
  •    Assist in responses to requests for tracing of missing shipments
  •    Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, following safety and company guidelines.
  •    Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
  •    Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and other warehouse duties as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing.  Will involve periods of prolonged standing, which includes walks around the production floor.

This job operates mainly in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: 2-4 years of related experience

Computer Skills: MS Office – Excel and Outlook, MS Teams

• Experience with an inventory management system
