The Role

Stillness Infant School is a 3 form entry school with a 1 form nursery at the heart of the local community, where children achieve highly through a broad and rich curriculum. Children have a positive attitude and enjoy their learning, with positivity and commitment because teachers ‘make it fun’. We are seeking someone who is committed to raising standards, achieving excellence for all and be a committed member of our school team and wider community. 

Stillness Infant School is situated in Honor Oak, a busy residential area of SE London within the Borough of Lewisham. The school is set on a large site which is shared with Stillness Junior School.  We are largely housed  in one building on the ground floor, with office spaces upstairs.  We also have a separate small building used for meetings, breakfast club, parent workshops  and after school activities.

There is a playground space for all children as well as separate outdoor learning spaces  for pupils in Nursery and Reception. In addition, we have access to Kings Sports Ground, a fabulous resource right next to our school.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an exceptional individual who shares our passion for infant education and well-being to join our happy, high-achieving school. 

The After School Assistant will be required to:

  • provide a caring, safe and secure environment.
  • be adaptable to different ages, to be non-discriminatory.
  • assist in planning and providing an appropriate range of activities for children.
  • provide extra support for pupils with special educational needs or disabilities.
  • provide extra support for pupils with English as an additional language.

 

Part-time: Monday - Friday (15 hours per week)

 

We are looking for an After School Club Assistant who:

  • has the ability to relate well to other professionals. 
  • has has good IT skills, use of Microsoft Office applications would be beneficial but not requirement .

Salary Details

Scale 2 spine point 3 (£30,225 pro-rata) - £16.56 per hour
