Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary, hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of Community Impact. This executive will be pivotal in driving business performance, optimizing systems, and ensuring that every decision supports sustainable growth and long-term success.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic financial leadership with a willingness to roll up their sleeves, managing a small but powerful team while connecting financial insights to overall business strategy. Experience with multi-entity enterprise systems and a track record of securing or managing grant funding is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with Community Impact’s mission and long-term objectives.
- Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and executive team on all financial and business matters.
- Lead enterprise risk management processes to safeguard assets and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Evaluate and execute investment opportunities that drive business growth and stability.
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning that connects operational data to strategic goals.
- Provide clear, transparent financial reporting to ownership, leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue grant funding opportunities aligned with the company’s mission and growth goals.
Operational and Team Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing finance team, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
- Refine financial processes and systems to enhance accuracy, speed, and insight across the organization.
- Lead the management of an enterprise-level system supporting multiple entities under a single organizational umbrella.
- Foster a high-performance culture through clarity of goals, accountability, and collaboration.
- Collaborate with other departments to translate business needs into actionable financial strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven success as a CFO or senior financial executive in a multi-entity or complex organizational environment.
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
- Deep expertise in financial management, corporate financial law, and risk management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to connect financial performance to strategic outcomes and communicate insights effectively.
- Experience with grant funding—identifying, applying for, and managing awarded funds—is a plus.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Comfortable leading a small team and personally managing key financial functions when needed.
