Inglewood Unified School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Instructional Support ASES! These incumbents will be responsible for providing high-quality after school and extended day opportunities to students. This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education. AT-A-GLANCE POSITION INFORMATION:
  • Type of position: 10 month, (4) four hours per day (not to exceed 20 hours per week), Classified Bargaining Unit Position
  • Location: Districtwide
  • Salary: Range 1 on the Classified Bargaining Unit Salary Schedule ($18.80 - $19.74 Hourly

Position Duties

Under the supervision of the ASES District Coordinator, and with the guidance of the Program Leader ASES, the Instructional Support Aide - ASES will be responsible for ensuring and implementing all aspects of program activities with your assigned grade level class. Serve as a team member and provide academic and enrichment instruction to individuals or small groups of students in a positive learning environment; prepare instructional materials, create lesson plans and perform clerical duties in support of the classroom activities performed.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Education, Training and Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent. This is a classified position subject to the federal No Child Left Behind Act

  • Any combination equivalent to some experience working with children in an organized setting.  

  • Any other combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered



Other Qualifications

The examination process for this recruitment may be comprised of one or any combination of the following: screening of the applicant's training, background, and experience; scored evaluation of responses on a supplemental application; written examination(s); qualifications appraisal oral examination; performance examination; or technical oral examination, scored on a job-related basis. Only the most highly qualified candidates will be invited to continue in the examination process.  Successful candidates who pass all parts of the examination process will be placed on the eligibility list in order of their relative merit as determined by these competitive examinations. The eligibility list for this classification will remain in effect for a period of 6 months.
Tentative Recruitment Examination Processes are Planned as Follows:

Virtual Exam: Tuesday, December 2, 2025
Oral Interview:  Friday, December  04, 2025
Final In-Person Interview:  Thursday, December 11, 2025
