Compensation Range
The base pay scale for this position is $84,000.00 - $127,875.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doing
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Evening Shift Security Manager is responsible for overseeing security operations, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and property and managing administrative details for the department as needed. This role requires strong leadership, excellent surveillance and emergency response capabilities, strong administrative capabilities, and a thorough understanding of security protocols and threats.
The ideal candidate will foster strong relationships with federal and local law enforcement agencies and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high security standards. This position involves supervising staff, coordinating emergency responses, and ensuring compliance with all security policies and procedures.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of ten years of law enforcement
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Standing or sitting in the same location Standing or sitting in the same location; may require to stoop, climb or lift light material (10 lbs. or less) or equipment. Examples: programmers, receptionists, medical technologists, and dishwashers.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Regular exposure to moderate physical discomfort located in an environment with regular exposure to moderate physical discomfort from fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers.
HAZARDS OSHA
Category 3 Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, or other potentially infectious materials and Category 1 tasks are not a condition of employment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and manage evening shift security personnel, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Recruit, train, and evaluate security officers assigned to evening operations, or other shifts as needed.
Coordinate and lead responses to emergencies, alarms, and incidents during evening hours.
Monitor and assess security systems and equipment (e.g., CCTV) for effectiveness.
Review and document incident reports and breaches; investigate and resolve issues.
Assist in planning and executing security operations for evening events.
Prepare and submit reports on evening security status to senior management.
Liaise with local law enforcement agencies and government boards to further the security mission of the department.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Associates Required
EDUCATION PREFERRED
Bachelors degree preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIRED
Unrestricted NYS License to carry pistol permit required.
HR 218 certification.

SKILLS PREFERRED
Proficient in the use of security technology and equipment.
Strong knowledge of emergency response planning and security protocols.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly organized, reliable, and committed to safety.
