The Director Central Sterile Processing (CSP) at Franciscan oversees the management and facilitates quality sterile processing production within multiple onsite departments across multiple campuses. This position develops strategic plans for the area of responsibility and implements new programs, identifies short and long-term goals in congruence with hospital and alliance goals, and enforces overall standards of care. The CSP, also, provides on-site support, training, and communication to sterile processing department management and personnel.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Maintain open communications with the Sterile Processing management staff, O.R. staff, Surgeons, physicians, and other nursing staff; establish and maintain effective working relationships with ancillary/support departments.
Coordinate with physicians, nurses, department heads or other healthcare professionals to align interdepartmental functioning, strategic goals, and expectations of patient care and team behavior.
Ensure proper operational processes are followed by all team members in conjunction with the standards set forth by the Department of Health, ACHC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, and AORN.
Collaborate with other departments within the hospital to align interdepartmental functioning, goals, and expectations, as outlined in the SLA.
Assure implementation and evaluation of quality improvement activities, as evidenced by timely reporting of outcomes by the due date.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Health Care, Business Administration or related - Required
Master's Degree Health Care, Business Administration or related Preferred
5 years Surgery or Sterile Processing - Required
3 years Managerial experience - Preferred
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) - within 90 days of hire - Required - AND -
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) - Required - OR -
Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) - Required - OR -
Certification in Healthcare Leadership (CHL) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) - Required - OR -
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) - Required
