Job Description
A day in the life of a Field Service Engineer consists of visiting nearby facilities and collecting data from facility equipment and cranes using advanced handheld data collection tools. After returning to the office, specialized software is used to analyze the data to determine the condition of the tested equipment. The Field Service Engineer writes formal reports based on the outcome of the analysis and provides recommendations to the customer. The following day may be an entirely different tasking, requiring the Field Service Engineer to gather, research and develop information for an ad-hoc report, or conduct a visual inspection of a building and report findings to the customer. The Field Service Engineer will maintain and follow procedural documentation that meets corporate standards.
As an aside, team members can be exposed to a variety of Predictive Maintenance technologies and building inspection teams, so there is a huge opportunity to cross-train in other fields, like; vibration, ultrasound, thermography, corrosion control, and building science.

· Work closely with external and internal team members to help make informed decisions
· Use web-based applications (SharePoint) as well as office applications (MS Office Professional Plus)

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in engineering disciplines and ensure cost-effectiveness when providing recommendations
