The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and successfully, preparing quality products and providing excellent service to customers. The Kitchen Supervisor actively works with, and supports the team in meeting production, sales, food quality, food variety, and financial goals.
Starting Pay: $40,206/yr.
Schedule: Sun-Thurs
(Sun 12:30-9:00, Mon 10-6:30, Tues/Wed/Thurs 5:00-1:30)
Duties:
- Sets production priorities and ensures the production schedule is followed
- Reprioritizes and redirects staff as needed to ensure production occurs.
- Assists staff in problem-solving kitchen issues and concerns that arise during production and packaging.
- Regularly communicates with staff to determine whether the Kitchen is operating efficiently, successfully and the work is being done correctly, and in a timely fashion.
- Ensures staff complete their work within Kitchen and health department standards.
- Model high standards for Kitchen staff in productivity, timeliness, being on shift, sense of urgency.
- Provides staff with timelines for task completion to make sure production stays on track.
- Provides training to new employees and current staff regarding the appropriate methods for producing product.
- Produces products by following recipes and assists with recipe development.
- Works with Kitchen Manager to create weekly menus and ensure items are ordered, etc.

Requirements
Qualifications
- High School degree or GED required.
- Must have two years working in a kitchen environment as entrée cook, kitchen shift lead, or similar position.
- Must have skills overseeing production in a high-volume kitchen, producing a variety of foods from scratch.
- Must have supervisory/management experience managing a kitchen team.
- Must be computer literate with skills in Word, Excel, google, databases, email, etc.
- Excellent, safe knife skills.
- Valid Oregon Food Handler card.
- Strong work ethic and consistently positive attitude.
- Excellent training skills.
- Can manage multiple tasks at one time, excellent organization skills, and time management.
- Can maintain a calm demeanor regardless of the circumstances.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and collaboration.
- Excellent customer service skills and truly enjoys serving the public.
- Strong attention to detail and strong math skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Can successfully work in a team environment.

- Can lift and carry items up to 30 pounds (frequently), and up to 50 pounds (occasionally)
