The Lead Test Technician will help manage a group of Test Technicians responsible for the test, and validation of servers.  The Lead Test Tech will also provide technical support increasing throughput, decreasing downtime/stops, improving work process inefficiencies, and eliminating other wastes.  In addition, they will lead a team of test technicians providing training, coaching, guidance and direction to the team

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Run difficult and often complex testing and validation of servers and systems to include thermal, shock, vibration, and environmental tests.
  • Lead a team of test technicians providing training, coaching, guidance and direction to the team.
  • Performs required tuning by debugging and troubleshooting complex test elements, as well as assists others in this area.
  • Meet production schedules and deadlines according to quality standards.
  • Sets day-to-day operational objectives for team, in line with production schedule.
  • Follows all testing policies, practices, and procedures and ensures fellow team members, customers, and stakeholders are in accordance. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualification:

  • Must be able to travel to Chantilly, VA for up to 2 months for training
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in testing and troubleshooting server systems
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and procedures for testing and calibration processes
  • Strong knowledge of server hardware components and functionality
  • Strong understanding of Environmental Testing and screening processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment as well as to work independently while maintaining a high level of initiative and self-motivation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of software programs such as Oracle, Jira, and Jama
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows platforms to perform functional testing and validation

  4. Requires good manual dexterity and coordination, and stamina. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.

 

Job Details

Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Range for this Position:

  • $50,600.00 - $101,200.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
  • $56,700.00 - $113,300.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
  • $59,700.00 - $119,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
