Special Events Lead/ Gymnastics Coach
At Seattle Gymnastics Academy, we operate programs under three types of categories: Play, Learn and Compete. Our Special Events plays a key role in delivering one-of-a-kind Learn and Play programming that creates memorable experiences for children and their families. From classes to birthday parties to Parents’ Night Out and specialty events, we believe that gymnastics should be fun, accessible, and beneficial for every child — whether they are trying gymnastics for the very first time or strengthening skills they’ve already learned.
This position is a full-time leader on our coaching team, responsible for both hands-on instruction and event operations. The Special Events Coordinator will coach recreational gymnastics classes during afternoons and weeknights and lead our weekend birthday parties on Sunday, ensuring high-energy engagement, safety, and a welcoming environment. In addition, this role oversees a small team of junior event coaches — providing training, supervision and support to ensure smooth, successful events from start to finish.
The ideal candidate thrives in an active, fast-paced environment, enjoys creatively engaging children, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to families at every touchpoint. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children (being a positive role model is a must) and someone who would enjoy executing our established Play events in accordance with SGA’s mission, core values, policies & procedures. This is a great opportunity to work with children in a positive, inclusive and fun environment.
