Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative duties, including record keeping and filling out paperwork (i.e., Damage Forms, Lost Forms). 
  • Responsible for all inventory and has an input in the MIA Inventory system OUT/IN at all times, equipment is taken out and returned. Ensure all equipment is returned, accounted for, and in proper condition.
  • Organize all vendor boxes left outside of the Equipment Room (SABRE paper, etc.) that belong to American Airlines. 
  • Must leave all items stocked and ready for the next shift: Night wands with batteries, gloves, etc.  
  • Must be familiar with the Scanner Server Connectivity procedure to be able to update all ramp links with “login failed” or “unable to connect” to assist our employees with connectivity issues. 
  • Ensure all employees have returned the equipment from the day, weeks, or months prior.  
  • Issue CC badges to all Managers daily.  
  • Review the MIA Inventory System to make sure all inventory has been verified in stock and has been returned and updated in the inventory system.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify management when reorders or replacements are needed.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure equipment room environment.
  • Communicate clearly with staff and supervisors regarding equipment needs and availability.
  • Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and security protocols.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, inventory control, stockroom, or equipment management preferred.
  • Ability to speak and understand clear English (verbal and written).
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, and inventory software).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift at least 70 lbs.

Work Environment

The Equipment Room Agent will work both indoors and outdoors in secure airport environments, often under variable weather conditions and elevated noise levels. Standard office equipment may be used for reporting and communication.
