Position Summary:
The Foundation School for Autism – Plano is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) or LSSP (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology) to support our growing ECSE–1st grade autism program. This individual will serve as both a behavioral intervention leader and an instructional partner, working directly in classrooms to support teachers, students, and staff in developing and implementing effective, data-driven interventions. As our campus continues to expand in response to community demand, this specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring student success, program consistency, and high-quality behavioral support. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in the daily rhythm of the school environment—engaging directly with students during instructional and behavioral moments, modeling strategies for staff, coaching in real time, analyzing data, designing visuals and systems, and helping create sustainable, student-centered practices that lead to meaningful growth.

About the Foundation School for Autism – Plano & Why Join Us:
The Foundation School for Autism – Plano, part of the ResponsiveEd network, provides a highly individualized and nurturing early learning environment for ECSE–1st grade students with autism. Each child receives a personalized education plan designed to build readiness skills, independence, academics, and social-emotional development. Our campus prioritizes strong relationships, structured supports, and collaborative intervention, with family partnership at the core of our mission.

As a small, mission-driven school community, we intentionally build deep connections with students and staff. Here, students are known by their strengths, needs, and personalities—not by a number on a roster. Our thoughtfully scaled caseload environment allows specialists to provide interventions with depth and fidelity, rather than being stretched across excessive demands. Team members see their work directly translate into student growth, collaborate with a unified and supportive staff, and have the space to build meaningful systems that lead to real progress. This is an ideal setting for professionals who value relational environments, authentic collaboration, and the opportunity to make visible, lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment, Data, and Compliance:
• Conduct FBAs, behavioral evaluations, and psychological assessments consistent with credentials
• Support REEDs, reevaluations, and IEP goal development aligned with functional and behavioral needs
• Develop measurable behavior goals and data systems, reviewing progress regularly with staff
• Translate data findings into practical, classroom-ready action steps

Hands-On Behavioral and Instructional Support:
• Work directly with students during instructional and behavioral moments
• Model intervention strategies, de-escalation techniques, structured routines, and reinforcement systems
• Develop and implement individualized BIPs and crisis prevention strategies
• Support generalization of functional communication, regulation, and adaptive skills

Intervention Design and Implementation:
• Create visuals, social narratives, structured task systems, token boards, and regulation tools in collaboration with teaching staff
• Ensure materials align with IEP goals, behavioral needs, and instructional expectations
• Monitor fidelity of implementation and adjust interventions as needed

Staff Training, Coaching, and Capacity Building:
• Lead professional development on autism supports, visual systems, ABA-based strategies, and crisis prevention
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and structured feedback to staff
• Collaborate with leadership to support consistent Tier 1 behavior practices

Collaboration and Family Partnership:
• Participate in ARD meetings, parent consultations, and home generalization planning when appropriate
• Work closely with the Campus Director and teachers/staff to align behavioral and instructional supports
• Foster a proactive, student-centered intervention culture across the campus

Qualifications:
• BCBA certification and Texas LBA licensure or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
• Strong background in autism intervention, FBA processes, and early childhood behavior support
• Experience working directly with students in school or clinical environments
• Proficiency with ABA-informed strategies, structured teaching, visual supports, and positive behavior systems
• Ability to train, model, and build capacity in staff

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in ECSE, self-contained autism, or early elementary life skills programs
• Familiarity with AAC and structured communication systems for minimally verbal students
• Experience building staff capacity through modeling and professional learning

Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Prefers being in the classroom and actively supporting intervention
• Naturally leads through modeling and collaborative problem-solving
• Enjoys designing visuals, behavior systems, and structured supports
• Uses data to inform meaningful change
• Values relational, small-school environments
• Is motivated by visible student progress

Closing Statement:
Come build something meaningful with us. If you are driven by purpose, passionate about early intervention, and ready to contribute in a setting where impact is visible and relationships matter, we invite you to apply for this role.
