We are looking for a Strategic Change Management & Communications Lead to join AESO’s People & Culture Team. Reporting directly to the Vice President, People & Culture, you will oversee all facets of change management and will develop the change and communications strategy associated with the AESO’s Transformation Programs. This involves close collaboration with the Transformation Management Office (TMO) and subject matter experts across the organization to effectively implement change and communication strategies, training for both internal and external stakeholders (e.g., media, public, government, and market participants).

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Act as a strategic advisor, offering expert guidance on change strategies and ensuring alignment with the organization’s objectives and key results.
Conduct change impact assessments and readiness evaluations, monitor effectiveness of change efforts, capture feedback and make necessary adjustments.
Manage the development and delivery of change communications to stakeholders, ensuring messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Offer guidance and support to leaders and employees through the change journey, fostering a resilient and positive organizational culture.
Partner with key stakeholders to gain insight into their needs and concerns and develop effective strategies to address them.
Lead post-implementation reviews to assess whether intended outcomes were achieved and to capture key learnings for future initiatives.
Remain informed on the latest industry best practices and emerging trends in change management to ensure the application of current and effective strategies.
What you’ll bring to us:
A bachelor’s degree in business/management, human resources, psychology, or a related field.
Certifications in change management (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, APMG) is strongly preferred.
15+ years of experience in an organizational change management lead role or related roles applying structured change management methodologies.
10+ years proven ability to lead change initiatives in complex, matrixed environments through transformational change.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building relationships across departments at all levels.
Ability to analyze organizational culture and tailor change strategies accordingly.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity.
