Position Summary:

The Employment Services Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s employment services program and team members which includes the delivery of individualized employment services through volunteerism, internships, customized and competitive employment.  This position manages program implementation and quality standards; employee performance and productivity; stakeholder satisfaction; and fiscal responsibility.  Ensures program services meet organizational guidelines, funder requirements and accreditation standards.

 Essential Functions

  • Provides oversight and direction to team members regarding program services. Provides training and support on Individual Support Plan (ISP) implementation and ensures services meet quality standards. Ensures stakeholder satisfaction through regular check-ins with individuals, family/guardians and community partners.
  • Oversees program schedules to include the participants’ skills and interests as well as appropriate oversight.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with businesses and volunteer sites to develop prospective opportunities in the community.
  • Facilitates onboarding procedures for new program participants. Supports the development of individual ISPs, behavior plans, and resources for individualized supports; and submits service requests as needed to maintain individual supports and programming.
  • Ensures adequate staffing through interviewing, hiring and onboarding/training of new employees. Conducts ongoing observation of employee performance and provides effective coaching, feedback and performance evaluations.  Provides mentorship in relation to providing quality services and promoting skill development and independent problem solving.  Ensures team members are compliant on trainings and employee documentation.
  • Maintains program documentation and ensures compliance with organizational, funder and accreditation requirements. Ensures utilization of authorized services through monitoring productivity and performing data collection.
  • Assists in monitoring the budgetary activities of the department and in ensuring services stay within budget.
  • Manages the preparation and maintenance of program reports. Trends data and performs follow-up on items as required.
  • Schedules and facilitates team meetings. Attends and participates in departmental meetings and other meetings as scheduled.
  • Provides direct support services as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field, 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities and 1 year supervisory experience. Or, without degree, 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and 1 year supervisory experience. 
  • Previous experience working in employment services preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position works day, evening and/or weekend hours depending on the needs of the organization.
  • This position requires driving personal or company vehicle. Travels to volunteer sites, internships and employer sites.  May transport individuals to worksite locations.
  • Must have reliable vehicle and maintain current driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Must complete and maintain all required trainings/certifications.
  • Must maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
