POSITION SUMMARY -   3rd shift Sunday-Thursday nights - 10pm-6am

The Washer Operator is responsible for accurately running the rumbler and washer to ensure caps are ready to be sent to our customers. Attention to detail necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Verify rinse and wash pressures are within the specified parameters. If not, change filters and perform other maintenance as needed.  
  • When changing filter you must follow proper LOTO procedures (and be certified to perform LOTO). 
  • Before making any adjustments to the machine or changing recipes, obtain permission from your supervisor.
  • Verify that labels match product and initial to confirm.
  • Load the barrel lifter and hopper by selecting the correct recipe – watch for mixed caps.
  • Before hopper time is complete check for caps stuck in hopper/elevator.  
  • Unload the rumbler into hopper and run through washer. Ensure chains have been removed. 
  • Keep boxes loaded on conveyor for caps to discharge and fill boxes. Check quality of caps periodically.
  • Move full boxes onto proper skids.  
  • Assist CMD by making boxes or filing as time allows.  
  • Perform daily cleaning of the washer area- including: sweeping up caps off the floor, and emptying the bins under each hopper/ elevator.  
  • Notify supervisor of any machine issues. 
  • Ensure department cleanliness.  
  • Other misc. duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Experience:

6 plus months of experience in Manufacturing required.
