Why we're hiring:
We are seeking a strategic and empathetic Change Communication Manager to join our Change & Enablement team. In this role, you will develop and execute communication strategies that support the successful adoption and enablement of WPP Open, our AI-powered marketing operating system. You will be responsible for creating clear, consistent, and compelling messaging that engages employees, builds understanding of WPP Open’s value, and drives the adoption of new platform features and ways of working. The ideal candidate is an expert storyteller, skilled at translating the complexities of a technology transformation into meaningful narratives that resonate with diverse audiences across WPP's global network.
What you'll do:
Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive, multi-channel communication plans for the rollout and ongoing evolution of WPP Open.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis across our agencies to identify key user groups, their specific needs, and potential barriers to adoption.
- Define communication objectives, key messages, and success metrics for each WPP Open initiative, ensuring alignment with the platform's product roadmap and overall business goals.
- Partner with the WPP Open Product, Technology, and Enablement leads to create a strategic narrative and timeline for all platform-related communication.
Content Creation and Execution:
- Write, edit, and produce a wide range of high-quality communication materials, including platform updates, user success stories, leadership talking points, training materials, FAQs, and video scripts.
- Manage the content calendar and distribution schedule to ensure timely and effective delivery of messages across all internal channels (e.g., email, WPP Open workspace, Teams, town halls).
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop supporting visual assets that enhance understanding and engagement with WPP Open's features and benefits.
Stakeholder Engagement and Advisory:
- Serve as a trusted communications advisor to the WPP Open leadership team, providing guidance on messaging and delivery.
- Coach and equip agency leaders and people managers to be effective champions for WPP Open, providing them with the tools and information needed to support their teams.
- Establish and manage feedback mechanisms (e.g., surveys, user forums) to monitor employee sentiment, address concerns, and adjust communication strategies to improve platform adoption.
Measurement and Improvement:
- Track and analyse the effectiveness of communication activities against platform adoption rates, user proficiency, and sentiment.
- Provide regular reports to leadership on communication reach, engagement, and impact on the adoption of WPP Open.
- Apply lessons learned to continuously improve our change communication practices for future platform enhancements.
What you'll need:
- Experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a dedicated change management role.
- Demonstrable experience planning and executing communication strategies for large-scale technology or platform adoption initiatives.
- Writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information for a broad, non-technical audience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Formal change management certification (e.g., Prosci) is highly desirable.
- Experience communicating technology changes within a large, matrixed global organisation.
- Familiarity with marketing operating systems or AI-powered platforms is a plus.
We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection. That's why we’ve adopted a hybrid approach, with teams in the office around four days a week. If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this with the hiring team during the interview process.
