Job Description
Role Overview: Unpack Your Potential
Join Amcor as an Ink & Adhesives Technician, playing a critical role in ensuring high-quality inks, adhesives, coatings, and related materials for press operations. In this role, you’ll handle, formulate, and mix inks and adhesives, support technical trials, and maintain proper inventory and safety standards. Your work ensures that presses run smoothly and that customers receive consistent, high-quality products.
Schedule
6 weeks working Monday-Wednesday, every other Sunday then
6 weeks Thursday-Saturday, every other Sunday
Switch front to back of week every 6 weeks

Job Description: Possibility Unpacked
What You’ll Do:
Operate Novaflow Dispenser to prepare inks for presses
Perform batch ink mixing, create ink room color standards, and return/store used inks for reuse
Mix adhesives, coatings, overlaquers, heat seals, and primers as needed
Conduct computerized color control and color matching at both lab and press site for customer proofs
Formulate color matches for customer approvals and support technical trials
Operate parts washing equipment and Distillation Unit
Manage handling, short-term storage, and labeling of RCRA-classified hazardous waste
Receive and unload materials, manage inventory using Novaflow and inventory control systems
Collaborate with planning to maintain adequate raw materials, provide order quantities, and track delivery/inventory status
Meet and communicate with suppliers to resolve technical issues related to inks and adhesives
Train new hires and provide cross-training for backup team members
Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and GMP compliance around the work area
Continuously reduce returned ink inventory through reformulation using the Novaflow System
Perform all tasks within acceptable limits of quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness, preventing costly errors
Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, personal protective equipment (PPE), and sanitation
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
What We Want From You: Lead the Pack
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing or technical experience preferred
Knowledge of inks, adhesives, solvents, material properties, and production processes
Ability to distinguish colors; must pass a color blindness test
Proficient in math (including metric conversions) and basic computer skills (MS Office)
Experience with hazardous materials and willingness to complete RCRA hazardous waste training
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work safely, prioritize tasks, and perform in a fast-paced environment
Regular attendance and commitment to safety, quality, and productivity

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for a 12 hour shift
Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
Frequent use of wrist and hands
Frequent stepping up and down from platforms
Exposure to a noise level above 85 decibels
Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions both inside the facility and out (i.e. high temperatures indoors in summer, cold temperatures inside and out around dock area)
