About the Role:

The Parts Cashier plays a critical role in the wholesale trade environment by managing all financial transactions related to parts sales with accuracy and efficiency. This position ensures that customers receive prompt and courteous service while maintaining precise records of sales and inventory. The Parts Cashier acts as the primary point of contact for customers purchasing parts, providing product information and resolving any payment-related inquiries. By accurately processing payments and maintaining detailed transaction logs, the Parts Cashier supports inventory control and financial reporting functions. Ultimately, this role contributes to the smooth operation of the parts department and enhances overall customer satisfaction within the wholesale trade setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role, preferably in a retail or wholesale environment.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the automotive or industrial parts industry.
  • Knowledge of wholesale trade operations and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and advanced POS systems.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Bilingual skills to assist a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Process cash, credit, and check transactions for parts sales accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about parts availability, pricing, and order status.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales transactions and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.
  • Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure parts availability and timely order fulfillment.
  • Handle customer returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized cashier area and parts counter.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues related to transactions or inventory to management promptly.
