In order to be considered for our apprenticeship programs, candidates must complete the ACT Work Keys assessment exams before the advertised job opening has closed and attach the WorkKeys Skill Report scores as an attachment to their application. The testing process will take approximately one (1) hour per test module. You are required to bring at least one form of government issued photo identification to your scheduled testing time.
Responsibilities
7641 APPRENTICE, ELECTRICIAN
An employee who is engaged in performing work as an assistant to or under the general direction of employees in higher rated classifications within the general Measurement and Test Department Occupational Group while training for a Journeyman. In order to gain experience for advancement, he may be required to work alone or under direct supervision on jobs for which he has been trained and instructed. The employee's educational and general qualifications must be such that he is considered capable of attaining Journeyman status.
Qualifications
This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) under Title 49 CFR Part 382 and Part 40. Any applicant/employee who is licensed and would operate a commercial vehicle for the Company will be subject to drug and alcohol testing under the Company's FMCSA drug and alcohol testing programs. Any employment, transfer, or promotion offer made for this position is contingent upon taking and passing a drug test prior to the commencement of the new role. If an applicant/employee fails the drug test, any offer of employment, transfer, or promotion will be revoked.
