JOB DESCRIPTION:
A. Supervision:
Under the direct supervision of the Principal and the Head Custodian of the building in which he/she works and of the Supervisor of Custodial Services.
B. General:
To perform all general custodial duties as assigned by the Head Custodian.
C. Duties:
1. Cleanliness of assigned areas, including sweeping, dusting, waxing and buffing of floors, waste emptying, blackboard cleaning, repairing furnishings, etc.
2. Handling or assisting in handling incoming or outgoing parcels or freight or express.
- Assisting in the general cleaning of the entire building during school vacation periods or at times set up by Head Custodian.
- Maintain lawns, shrub, walks and outside areas as directed by the Head Custodian or his/her building.
- Assist in the general security of the building on regularly scheduled working days.
- Clean vents in kitchen as directed.
D. Qualifications:
- Capable of performing assigned duties.
- Good moral character.
- Ability to read and follow written directions.
- Capable of working around children.
- Ability to climb and work at heights on the bleachers at the High School and Middle School.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District and is expected to maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
SALARY: $17.25 - $21.79 per hour commensurate with experience, per the CFMT Master Agreement
