The role involves managing end-to-end logistics operations across 8–9 warehouses in South India, encompassing warehousing, distribution, and last-mile delivery. The incumbent will support the Central Logistics Function through data analysis, Power BI reporting, and the development of new visibility tools to enhance service levels for the commercial team and end customers. A key focus will be driving continuous improvement in warehousing operations through the implementation of 5S, Kaizen, and other operational excellence frameworks. The position also ensures strict adherence to regulatory requirements, including Global HSE guidelines, Pesticides Rules, FCO norms, E-way bills, CMV rules, and transport safety protocols. Additionally, the role includes monitoring critical parameters such as product shelf life and FIFO billing, while supporting the implementation of new initiatives and projects within the Logistics & Distribution function through strategic approaches and adoption of new technologies and techniques.

 

Responsibilities: -

 

  • Oversee operations across multiple regional warehouses and CFA locations.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO and other controls to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with Logistics service providers and intervene whenever needed to ensure smooth dispatches.
  • Develop data analysis reports/dashboards to improve distribution operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive implementation of global and local projects across South India warehouses. 
  • Ensure storage, handling and segregation of products in compliance with safety and other global guidelines.
  • Keep close watch on service providers performance on Placement delays, delivery lead times.
  • Develop and onboard new service providers.
  • Close monitoring of product shelf life, FIFO billing, reduce returns goods to factory.
  • Implement new ideas for checks and controls at warehouses.
  • Keep close watch on damages and leakages to minimize losses.
  • Support warehouses in implementation of HSE requirements and continuous improvements.
  • Loss prevention and recovery of losses from service providers/transit insurance claims.
  • Facilitate Finance interface, on freight provisions, inventory provisions, statutory audits etc.

 

Required Skills: -

  • Qualification: Science Graduate preferably with MBA-Operations/Supply Chain Management
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years and the recent 2 years in a responsible position/corporate office is preferred.
  • Should have experience in logistics & Distribution in a reputed organization handling high volumes of product at PAN India level.
  • Good Analytical & Negotiation Skills
  • Good Communication & Presentation skills
  • Hands on knowledge of ERP (SAP)/Power Bi/Analytical Tools
