Elements is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Superintendent with experience in live environment construction to oversee on-site operations for high-impact hospitality renovation projects. Based in Lynden, WA, and licensed in 36 states, we specialize in live-environment construction, transforming hotels and luxury properties while they remain operational. Job Summary:
The Site Superintendent is responsible for oversight of construction project operations on the jobsite. The site superintendent leads team members through on-site coordination of the project, including construction implementation, scheduling, quality control, people management, subcontractor management, budget, and impact. They are also the on-site liaison between Elements and the customer. They work in conjunction with the Project Manager to have a working knowledge of all facets of the project, including scheduling, budget, scope, and manpower.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Manager with subcontractor and vendor scope of work, and cost verification of change orders.
- Responsible for the on-site supervision of all aspects of the project, from mobilization through the final punch list and de-mobilization.
- Develops, maintains, updates, and enforces the project schedule; communicates the schedule to vested parties.
- Reviews and confirms submittals and shop drawings.
- Writes RFI’s as needed.
- Manage manpower crews on-site.
- Responsible for field management of subcontractors, Architects, Engineers, Owner Representatives, and local jurisdictions.
- Monitor work and materials to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform on-site inspections and facilitate jurisdictional inspections.
- Maintain a daily log of visitors, job actions performed, materials expended, and issues resolved on the job site.
- Responsible for resolving problems and conflicts on-site.
- Sets an example in keeping the job site clean and organized; meets standards for waste disposal and environmental protection.
- Schedules trades and material deliveries.
- Assist the Project Manager in resolving issues related to plans, specifications, documentation, and conflicts with the architect, engineer, and subcontractors.
- Documents all changes to the original job scope and contract.
- Produces and submits required documentation and daily reports.
- Responsible for the safety of all workers on the job site, including guests and subcontractors.
- Maintain OSHA-required documents.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the manager.
