About Gemic
Gemic is a global consultancy specializing in business strategy and innovation. We help leading organizations drive sustainable growth by applying human-centered design to emerging cultural, business, and technological shifts. Our teams combine social science and strategy to deliver impactful, design-led solutions.
About the Role
We are seeking a multi-disciplinary designer with a strong background in information design, data visualization, graphic design, and web design/development.
In this role, you will collaborate with researchers, strategists, and clients across a wide range of subjects to create impactful visual experiences that communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
You will apply human-centered design and design thinking principles to translate complex qualitative and quantitative findings into intuitive, visually engaging outputs — such as infographics, frameworks, diagrams, timelines, data visualizations, and slide narratives.
The role will be based in our Berlin office and serving a global function to the wider company. Please note this is NOT intended as a remote position and you must be located in Berlin (or willing to relocate to Berlin and obtain legal work authorization).

- Turn complex data and abstract concepts into clear, compelling visual stories.
- Design and build visual systems, templates, and toolkits for presentations, whitepapers, and digital deliverables.
- Develop branding and layout schemes or adhere to client guidelines to maintain consistent, high-quality outputs.
- Work iteratively, proactively seeking feedback from colleagues and clients to refine and improve solutions.
- Compose storyboards, cut audio tracks, or create motion graphics to enhance digital storytelling. (Preferred but not required)

- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, PowerPoint/Google Slides, and data visualization or prototyping tools.
- Experience producing deliverables such as presentations, web experiences, and print or digital reports.
- Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into visual systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to present ideas clearly to both design and non-design audiences.
- Curiosity, creativity and a passion for turning insight into meaning through thoughtful visual storytelling.
Nice to have
- Skills in motion design, video editing, illustration, or generative AI tools.
- Experience with HTML/CSS or basic front-end prototyping.
