Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In this role you will be:
- Registering and scheduling patients in an outpatient and/or ambulatory setting.
- Room patients, take vitals and document in EMR.
- Utilizing insurance verifications and obtaining authorizations for procedures and patient testing.
- Working and interacting as a member of the team.
- Able to transition smoothly between various treatment setting
Required:
- EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent
- EXPERIENCE: Medical assistant with 2 years’ experience in office or ambulatory setting preferred
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire
- Medical assistant certification preferred
