Position Description

Under the general direction of the Director of Registration.  This position provides general supervision over registration and scheduling in the following areas Cardiology, Emergency Department, Urgent Cares, Outpatient Surgery, Oncology, Laboratory/ Radiology, Pain, Wound, Medication Therapy, Outpatient Therapy, Outpatient Clinic/ Vascular Lab and Preadmission Testing.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the registration department, ensuring staff coverage, efficient workflows, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain the accuracy and completeness of registration data, including patient demographics, insurance verification, and authorization documentation.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate registration staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize registration efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Billing, Scheduling, Clinical teams) to resolve registration-related issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Respond to escalated customer service inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Generate and analyze reports to monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies (e.g., HIPAA, CMS guidelines).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in registration, admissions, or a related administrative role; prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of registration processes, insurance verification, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems (e.g., EHR, EMR, Microsoft Office Suite).Self-directed work habits, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Not a remote position.
  • LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
