Duties and Responsibilities:
Practice/Technical Director provides technology and industry leadership on large and/or more complex IT engagements. Technical Director leads enterprise wide solution engagements for high quality, integrated solutions within constraints of time and budget. Develops an integrated and robust solution based on customer needs combining GOTS, COTS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and third party components. Provides subject matter experience to assist customer through difficult business decisions. Designs, configures and implements all aspects of the full stack architecture delivering innovative solutions by combining Oracle best practices, knowledge in IT product offerings, and business acumen. Recommends enhancements to meet complex customer needs.
Required Experience:
1. Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of Oracle Database (version 19c, or newer).
Proficiency in OCI database services (Autonomous Database, DBaaS, Exadata Cloud Service).
Familiarity with cloud architecture, virtualization, and OCI-specific tools (OCI CLI, Console, and APIs).
2. Performance & Troubleshooting:
Experience with SQL query optimization, indexing, and partitioning.
Hands-on experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools like Oracle AWR, ASH, or OEM.
3. Cloud & Automation:
Understanding of cloud-native principles and experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, OCI Resource Manager).
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell scripting, or PL/SQL.
4. Security & Compliance:
Familiarity with database security best practices, encryption, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
5. Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
