About the Role
As an Electrical Superintendent at Zekelman Industries, you will serve as the lead on-site supervisor, overseeing the installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems on mid- to large-scale ground-up and tenant improvement projects. This position requires exceptional leadership, coordination, and technical expertise to manage multiple crews and ensure that all electrical work meets Z-Modular Power’s standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
You will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Foremen, and General Contractors to plan, schedule, and execute complex electrical construction projects. This is a full-time, on-site position located at various construction sites.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments, enjoys mentoring teams, and excels at strategic planning and problem-solving.
What You’ll Do
- Leads all on-site electrical construction activities across Z-Modular Power projects.
- Provides direction and oversight for subordinate supervisors and field crews.
- Collaborates with Project Managers on take-offs, estimates, schedules, and manpower forecasts.
- Coordinates daily and long-term work plans to meet productivity and quality goals.
- Interfaces with General Contractors and other trades to manage logistics and scheduling.
- Supervises installation of complex electrical systems, including switchgear, feeders, motors, generators, and lighting.
- Ensures compliance with blueprints, specifications, NEC, and company safety standards.
- Monitors and enforces job site safety; leads investigations and implements corrective actions.
- Manages timekeeping, reporting, and material documentation for assigned projects.
- Mentors Foremen and field leaders, fostering development and accountability.
Who You Are
- 10+ years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Current Journeyman license required; Master Electrician License or equivalent supervisory certification preferred.
- Proven success managing multiple crews on mid- to large-scale projects.
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Experience with project cost control, labor forecasting, and resource planning.
- Proficient in tablets, smartphones, and construction management software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Thorough understanding of NEC, job site safety regulations, and construction laws.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Eligible to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements
This role is based entirely on construction sites, requiring daily exposure to outdoor weather conditions, uneven terrain, and active construction environments.
The Electrical Superintendent must adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
Collaboration with subcontractors, project teams, and inspectors occurs primarily on-site, requiring a professional demeanor and effective communication to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with safety standards.
Good visual acuity for reading screens and documents.
Compensation & Benefits
Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate; final offers will depend on experience, education, and interview performance.
Base Salary Range: $89,000 - $122,000
