Hospice RN – 7 On / 7 Off On-Call (Remote + Field Support) — Lebanon County, PA

We are hiring a compassionate and autonomous Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a 7-on / 7-off schedule, covering 4:30 PM – 8:30 AM with remote triage and in-person hospice support when needed.
This is a full-time role with full benefits — while working only half the year.
That means:
• 26 weeks off every year
• With PTO applied, you effectively enjoy 28 weeks off annually

What You’ll Do
• Provide after-hours symptom management and telephonic triage
• Perform in-person visits as needed for urgent patient needs
• Support and educate patients and families during end-of-life care
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and aides
• Complete accurate and timely documentation
• Deliver care rooted in dignity, compassion, and respect
Qualifications
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Help optimize the capital structure and support strategic initiatives.
- Maintains the agency’s mission, philosophy and core values.
- Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations/processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety and emergency management.
- Always maintains patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations.
Regulatory Requirements
- Licensed or registered in the state in which he/she currently practices..
- Must pass a criminal background check & MVR check.
- Completed health statement acknowledging ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Proof of current automobile insurance.
- Current CPR card; On-line CPR certification accepted; Hands-on CPR certification preferred.
- TB testing per agency policy; (1 or 2 step TB skin test within 12 months of hire & annual TB symptom screening thereafter).
Industry experience
- Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments. Ability to supervise others appropriately. Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting. Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes. Completes Hospice training program.
- Active patient contact within past three years, preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, preferred
EDUCATION:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Currently licensed as a registered nurse to practice in the state.
