Position Description Summary/Purpose:
Goodwin University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Curriculum Coordinator to support the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program. This role is central to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programming. The Curriculum Coordinator ensures that all curricular components meet accreditation standards, align with program outcomes, and reflect institutional goals. *This position would be located in East Hartford, CT but work with both campus's (E.Hartford & Bridgeport)*
Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead the design, development, and revision of course and program curricula.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (e.g., ACEN, state boards).
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum mapping and assessment of learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate curriculum documentation and databases.
- Schedule and facilitate curriculum committee meetings.
- Collect and analyze feedback from faculty, students, and stakeholders to inform curricular improvements.
- Support the integration of educational technologies and innovative teaching strategies.
Other Functions:
- Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
- Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
- Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.
- Some evenings may be required

Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Valid RN license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Connecticut.
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in curriculum design, assessment, or instructional design.
- Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in nursing education or a clinical skills lab setting.
- Experience with high-fidelity patient simulation technologies.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience with audiovisual and recording equipment.
- Clinical background across multiple specialties.
- Proficiency with inventory management software.
- Experience coordinating schedules and managing multiple user groups.
