Position: Commercial Data Specialist
Reports to Title: Sr. Director – Strategic Accounts

Position Overview
The Commercial Data Specialist is a liaison between Sales and Finance and will be primarily responsible supporting customer promotional programs and for helping manage departmental operating expenses.

- Assist with development and monitoring of customer retention programs and period-end reporting
- Assist with monitoring, reporting and performing analyses of strategic account partners.
- Partner with department heads to monitor, analyze and report on departmental operating expenses
- Engage in Budget planning and forecasting processes, working with business leaders to plan and set targets for future years.
- Conduct win/loss and competitive analyses to surface reasons for success or failure for marketing projects and sales promotions.
- Support month-end close activities for all commercial channels, including posting accruals and journal entries, maintaining reconciliations, and managing revenue-share / rebates programs.
- Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product and Training teams.
- Automate reporting and improve data utilization (Excel/Power BI).
- Produce ad-hoc analyses to support various departments as necessary.
Competencies (Knowledge and Skills needed for this position.)
- Strong knowledge of Access and Excel with ability to utilize pivot tables and v-lookups
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, stakeholder management and clear written/verbal communication
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Customer service focused; ability to partner with internal and external contacts
- Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data and simplify for business decisions
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Flexibility in work schedule with ability to work longer days during month-end close and other busier times
Desired Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent work experience
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in finance or business analysis role
Travel: Occasional Travel

Pay Transparency Notice:
Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $65,000 to $75,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
