Job Description
The successful candidate will demonstrate highly innovative approaches to resolve difficult production and design issues and will be responsible for assisting production and development teams in resolving technical challenges, incorporating engineering changes, and updating drawings and assembly parts lists. The ideal candidate will also develop new designs and tooling. The candidate will support hardware operations and may provide support to engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations, as well as supplier support.
Basic Qualifications
* Familiarity with simulation tools (LTspice, PSpice, Simulink, NI Multisim or MATLAB).
* Hands‑on experience with lab test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, logic analyzer, etc.)
* Demonstrated successful electrical lab individual or project work.
* Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired skills
* Exposure to bread‑boarding or prototype assembly.
* Basic programming experience (C/C++, Python, or embedded C).
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues, work with system integration issues, design challenges, etc. demonstrated through hands-on experience.
* Participation in engineering clubs, competitions (e.g., SAE, ASME competitions or hackathons, etc).
* Involvement in senior‑design or research projects (e.g., designing a power‑converter, building a sensor system)
* Familiarity with industry standards (IPC, IEEE, IEC)
* Experience with embedded platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32, TI LaunchPad).
