A vacancy for 2 Early Head Start Child Development Assistants exist within the Early Head Start Program in the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This is a 260 day position, working with infants and toddlers, and will be located at the Engle Education Center in West Grove, PA.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- To assist the Child Development Specialist in planning and executing early childhood activities
- Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with adults and children
- Assist the teacher in carrying out the duties of caring for children
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- CDA or Associates Degree, or willingness to attain CDA within one year required
- Previous exprience working in a childcare/preschool setting preferred
- Bilingual/Bicultural preferred
Professional or Other Required Clearances
- Current (within one year) State Criminal, Child Abuse & FBI Fingerprint, NSOR Clearance clearances required
- Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
- Two professional written letters of reference
Anticipated Salary Range:
PRJ: The Head Start pay scale is broken down below for reference:
- 0 - 4 yrs experience = $17.30
- 5 - 10 yrs experience = $18.37
- 11 - 16 yrs experience = $19.46
- 17 - 22 yrs experience = $20.53
- 23 - 28 yrs experience = $21.62
- 29 - 35 yrs experience = $22.70
* Placement on band is based on years of direct experience in a comparable role.
