Job Description:

The Partnerships & Community Marketing Intern supports the planning and execution of community events and sponsorship activations. This role involves hands-on event support, internal and external cross-functional communication, and administrative tasks that contribute to the success of the broader marketing team. Additionally, the intern collaborates on a cross-functional group project designed to drive innovation and business impact.

What You'll Do:

  • Assists with monitoring the Partnerships inbox, responding promptly to relevant inquiries and requests.

  • Participate in weekly meetings with RaceTrac’s sports marketing agency and coordinate follow-up actions as needed.

  • Supports planning and execution of community and partnership events, including grand openings, local store initiatives, sponsorship activations, and Freeze appearances.

  • Attends on and off-premise events to provide support for partnerships, community marketing, and field teams.

  • Assists with the design and procurement of branded swag for events and internal requests.

  • Plays a key role in the planning for RaceTrac’s annual Run for Research 5k including but not limited to vendor communications, budget tracking, and creative and signage requests.

  • Carries out ad hoc project support functions to support the partnerships and community marketing teams.

  • Manage administrative tasks for related projects including supply ordering, package mailing, invoice submission, and creative requests.

What We're Looking For:

  • Current enrollment in a college or university with a major in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a similar major

  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Office)

  • Previous internship experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with event management preferred

  • Effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
