What You’ll Do

As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping Sunrock’s on-road and off-road equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll perform routine maintenance, inspections, and service tasks to help prevent breakdowns and ensure our fleet operates at peak performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment.

  • Use pre-inspection checklists and follow company and manufacturer guidelines.

  • Inspect, lubricate, and replace filters, fluids, tires, and minor parts.

  • Perform brake inspections and basic repairs under supervision.

  • Operate service vehicles to perform PMs at various job sites.

  • Document all work performed using Sunrock’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMIS).

  • Communicate with the Parts Department to requisition and receive needed parts.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.

  • Support other mechanics and assist with equipment repairs when needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).

  • Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of tools, parts, and maintenance procedures.

  • 6+ months of related experience or technical training preferred.

  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License (required).
