About the Department
A primary role of this position is to function as a central point of contact for HASTUS users, TriMet IT support, and GIRO (the parent company of HASTUS). The individual in this role will develop an awareness of persistent operational issues and serve as a key contributor in the strategic management of daily operations and the ongoing evolution of HASTUS products.
Strengthening the relationship between TriMet and the HASTUS user community will be a core focus, leveraging the full HASTUS suite and maintaining a productive partnership with GIRO. Emphasis will be placed on addressing downstream data needs and resolving operational incidents that involve or require support from GIRO and/or TriMet.
In addition, the role involves shaping HASTUS system strategy by evaluating current business practices and processes and facilitating or initiating redesign efforts when needed. Advocacy for the HASTUS user community and its evolving needs is essential, especially in response to emerging trends that impact the way users interact with the system.
The position will also be responsible for identifying training needs within the user community and coordinating efforts and resources across departments. By doing so, the role supports the development of efficient, productive, and streamlined workflows across HASTUS user groups.
Providing strategic and leadership direction in prioritizing the evolution of the HASTUS suite of products is another key responsibility. This includes leading smaller-scale upgrades directly and serving as the Transit business lead for major upgrade projects, in coordination with a project manager from TriMet's Data Engineering team.
This role requires being onsite four (4) days per week.
