Job Summary
We are seeking a caring, skilled, and dedicated Dental Assistant (oral surgery practice) to join our team full-time in Orlando. In this role, you will assist our oral surgeons during a variety of procedures and help ensure patients receive excellent care from start to finish. Your support is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of our practice and creating a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities

Assist oral surgeons with procedures such as extractions, implants, and biopsies.

Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and equipment.

Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment following infection control guidelines.

Provide patient education on pre- and post-operative care.

Take and develop X-rays as needed.

Record medical histories and vital signs accurately.

Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Provide compassionate chair-side assistance.

Manage inventory and order supplies.

Communicate effectively with patients to keep them informed and comfortable.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.

Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or Oral Surgery Assistant (OSA) preferred.

At least 1 year of experience in oral surgery or dental assisting.

Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Current CPR certification.

Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.

Proficiency in English (bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus).
