Summary: We are seeking a skilled Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Terraform and GCP architecture to design and implement robust data center infrastructure solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align technology solutions with business objectives, ensuring high-impact project delivery for the State of Tennessee.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data center infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases.
- Gather requirements, design, and create implementation plans for requested technology solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to align solutions with IT strategy.
- Lead comprehensive solution architecture, evaluation, selection, and design processes.
- Provide architectural oversight during the design, build, test, and deploy phases.
- Integrate Terraform with CI/CD and GitOps workflows for efficient deployment.
- Ensure solutions adhere to cloud security, state management, and secrets handling best practices.
Required skills:
- Deep expertise in Terraform (HCL) and GCP architecture.
- Familiarity with networking, IAM, logging, and monitoring in GCP.
- Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash) for automation and maintenance.
- 7-9 years of experience in network or data center design and relevant technologies.
- Strong IT project management and communication skills.
- Experience in solution evaluation, architectural oversight, and high-level design.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in network or data center design preferred.
