Reporting directly to the Department Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all maintenance personnel and activities, including the repair and upkeep of plant machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations across the Plant City facility. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead, train, and develop a skilled maintenance team while fostering a culture of safety and accountability. 

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.). 

  • Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive maintenance and repairs for plant equipment, machinery, and facilities. 

  • Manage daily priorities, coordinate with production teams, and minimize equipment downtime. 

  • Assist in the preparation and management of the annual maintenance budget. 

  • Identify, propose, and implement capital improvement projects to enhance plant reliability and performance. 

  • Support SPS (Highland’s Strategic Production System) initiatives to drive productivity and quality improvements. 

  • Promote teamwork and cross-department collaboration to achieve operational goals. 

  • Read blueprints and prepare drawings as needed for maintenance or construction projects. 

  • Supervise any construction or facility additions. 

  • Perform or assist with hands-on maintenance and repair tasks as needed to support team workload or resolve critical issues. 

  • Provide technical expertise and step in on mechanical, electrical, or facility maintenance tasks during peak demand or equipment downtime. 

This position is located at our Plant City , FL Facility and 100% onsite

Required: 

• High school diploma or equivalent. 

Preferred: 

• Four-year technical or engineering degree. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. 

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse team. 

  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and facility infrastructure. 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. 

  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and capital project planning. 

  • Proven success managing safety, productivity, and quality initiatives.
