SUMMARY
Responsible for leading supply chain efforts to efficiently and effectively enable business units and functional partners to maximize the value they receive from suppliers to meet their objectives. Ensure that logistics goals are met for both customer satisfaction and the growth of the company. The key responsibilities of this job are to optimize supply chain and profitability to the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee purchasing, transporting, warehousing, and shipping of materials and products.
- Ensure that all steps in supply chain meet regulations, quality, and timeliness goals.
- Record data and strategize to meet sales and delivery goals, reduce costs, and forecast market needs.
- Is an integral member of the Commercialization team which is vital for new customer integration and execution.
- Build relationships with stakeholders including vendors, internal staff, clients, carriers, etc.
- Directs all supply chain projects to ensure that they are on time and within budgetary controls.
- Collaborates with various departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Establishes and administers the department’s budgetary goals.
- Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the executive management.
- Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in logistics management to stay abreast of new initiatives.
- Tackles unforeseen issues through troubleshooting to resolve.
- Guides, directs, and evaluates the work of management and leadership team under their direction.
- Identifies safety and training needs to ensure compliance and future succession planning.
- Works closely with Human Resources to implement and refine company policies and procedures.
Food Safety
All employees are required to understand and follow all Vobev Food Safety Management System policies and procedures. In addition, employees are responsible for reporting problems with the Food Safety Management System to a supervisor or manager.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Computer Skills:
Advanced computer skills and proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal software programs) with advanced presentation skills. Experience working with an ERP system.
Certificates and Licenses:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Food Science, and Engineering, MBA or Master’s degree preferred. At least 10 years prior experience in the food and beverage industry including five years in senior level management.
Work Environment:
The work environment is climate-controlled year-round. Noise level is loud and hearing protection is required on the manufacturing floor. The following personal protective equipment (PPE) is always required when performing in this role while on the manufacturing floor: safety glasses and hearing protection. Food Safety protective equipment is required at all times while on the manufacturing floor: including hair nets, gloves and, if applicable, beard nets.
