Job Summary
Provides administrative, technical, process, data management and other support as needed for the engineering functions. Performs activities ranging from administrative and process support to data and technical analysis, modeling and reporting. Ensures engineering teams receive the assistance and information they need for planning, budgeting, activity tracking and other operational purposes. The position is based in Houston, TX and reports to the Development Planning Director. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
Familiarizes self with basic corporate planning concepts and industry terminology
Assists in data entry and basic quality control for reserve databases
Gathers preliminary data for periodic reserves reports and planning documents
Learns to navigate corporate reserves management software and databases
Provides support to senior techs in maintaining accurate documentation
Maintains well data and integrity
Pulls and manipulates data from multiple databases
Validates engineering forecasts for data accuracy and integrity
Supports engineers by updating type curves and associate development plans
Provides weekly updates on wedge well performance vs type curves

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
BS, BA degree in Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience
1 year of relevant experience
Familiarity with industry terminology and core data types (well logs, production data); entry-level use of tools and field data capture systems; basic data entry and quality control under supervision
Detail-oriented; eager to learn engineering workflows and tools; communicates effectively and asks questions when unsure
Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
Ability to meet deadlines
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
