Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas, is seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer for Armament. Applicant will be working as part of the Weapons Integration organization in the Armament Team. The team has the overall design, development, testing, and integration responsibility for a number of mechanical and structural components and systems. These include the following systems: Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) which consists of pylons, adapters, launchers, and other in-house designed hardware, Suspension and Release Equipment Systems (S&RES) which include very high-pressure pneumatic ejection systems, Gun Systems (both internal and missionized pods), and the Stores Management System (SMS).
Applicant will be working in the Gun System team, supporting F-16, F-22, and F-35 platforms. Responsibilities for this position will include establishing and verifying requirements for supplier-designed equipment and production and field support of the equipment through failure investigations and generation of sustainment documentation, such as troubleshooting and repair guides.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Mechanical Engineering process and analysis. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree
- Aerospace engineering related experience
- Experience in requirements development and verification
- Experience with supplier management
- Familiarity with CATIA V5 or equivalent
Desired skills
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to formulate logical approaches to resolving technical problems and manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Hardware design experience
- Computerized modeling and drafting experience
- Ability to work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to develop clear technical presentations for customers and suppliers
- Microsoft Office Skills; of particular importance: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project
