Salary Range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour

Position Description – What the Role Entails:

The major function of the Security Officer is to maintain safe and secure environment for patients and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

Areas of Accountability - What you will be doing:

  1. Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; and permitting authorized entry.
  2. Respond to emergencies and obtain help by sounding alarms or contacting law enforcement/first responders as necessary.
  3. Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, enforcing clinic policies, and addressing violations in a professional and respectful manner.
  4. Document all activities by completing incident reports, recording observations, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining signatures when appropriate.
  5. Support facility safety by monitoring and maintaining building and equipment controls (e.g., alarms, doors, lighting).
  6. Ensure compliance with all legal, organizational, and regulatory requirements to maintain safety and stability.
  7. Monitor and maintain a secure environment on the exterior of the building, ensuring safety for patients and staff during arrival and departure.
  8. Contribute to team effort by assisting staff, supporting patient flow, and addressing safety concerns in a professional manner.
  9. Perform additional related duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the MAR program.
  10. All other duties as assigned

Rincon’s Work Environment – What to expect:

The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. There may be occasions that call for an employee to carry out duties at other agency offices. Traveling to and from meetings is necessary.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday 6:00AM- to 10:00AM
  • Sat 7:30AM TO 11:00AM

Language:

  • English is required and (Bilingual Spanish is preferred)

Position Qualifications – What is required to Perform the Role:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Willing to participate in a pre-employment screening process (drug screen and
  • background check).
  • Prior experience in security, corrections, or military background required.
  • Experience working in a healthcare, patient-facing, or opioid treatment environment is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Training in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques (e.g., MOAB – Management of Aggressive Behavior).
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound judgments in stressful situations.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening (as required).
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding opioid treatment programs and controlled substances is beneficial.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
