Job Summary
This Manager role is on the Connectivity & Platforms Financial Planning team, which is responsible for Connectivity & Platforms 5-Year Long Range Plan (LRP), annual Budget, and monthly Forecasts. The Manager will report to the Senior Director, FP&A, and support development of financial models and presentations for the LRP, Budget, and Forecast. The individual will utilize financial reports to analyze trends, provide insights, and create future-looking models. In addition, the Manager will work on business cases, assess P&L scenarios, and provide ad hoc analyses to support Senior Executive decision making. The role provides exposure to the entire Connectivity & Platforms business (including Residential, Commercial, Advertising, Sky) and Senior Leadership teams. There will be opportunity to work cross-functionally across all levels of the organization and departments. Minimum 2-3 years of experience.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Develop financial models for the C&P Long Range Plan: responsibilities include Revenue and Programming projections based on subscriber, ARPU, and dilution trends, sensitivity analyses, and profitability by product.
- Consolidate Revenue and Programming forecast and budget; analyze rate/volume/dilution trends to identify risks and opportunities for Senior Leadership Team. Set topsides as needed based on accounting, subscriber, etc. changes
- Work on Profitability by LOB and additional analyses to support executive decision making
- Work on business cases for new investments, evaluate go-to-market strategies, and deliver scenario-driven projections
- Work with business units and functional departments to understand all aspects of C&P product and operations
- Create ad hoc analysis, meeting materials and presentations for Senior Leadership Team
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and comfortable with ambiguity
- Ability to build and manage financial models
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and drive multiple workstreams
- Strong written, oral, interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management
- Strong Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint skills, knowledge of databases (e.g., Essbase, Tableau) a plus but not required
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
