Summary
- We are seeking a professional and friendly server to join our team. As a Lead server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our guests while ensuring that they enjoy a satisfying dining experience. Serves as a liaison between management and staff, providing support to line staff in the performance of their responsibilities. Your responsibility will include taking orders, serving food and drinks, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained.
- Conduct team meetings to communicate goals and updates.
- Greet customers as they arrive at the restaurant and provide them with menus.
- Take customer orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Monitors and enforces behavior and dress code of Dining Room Staff.
- Communicate with management regarding any area in need of special attention to better facilitate excellent guest service.
- Have a strong understanding of inventory and the ability to manage inventory ordering.
- Assist in the setup and closure of the dining area.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the products and services offered to customers.
- Training and development of staff and being able to abide by all applicable protocols and regulations.
- Always present a professional manner including uniform standards and appearance.
- Serve food and drinks to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure that customers have everything they need throughout their dining experience.
- Answer any questions customers may have about the menu, F&B outlets, or casino.
- Clean and maintain the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors.
- Process customer payments and make changes accurately.
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the restaurant runs smoothly.
- Uphold a professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor, even during busy and high-pressure periods of business.
- Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so.
- Must be able to work varied shifts and varied days off, including weekends and holiday periods.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications/Education/Experience
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of upselling techniques.
- An outgoing personality with interest in guest hospitality
- Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification and Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Certification as a pre-requisite to receiving a job offer.
- Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS system.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
- Strong English communication skills required to interact with guests, team members, and vendors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic math and money-handling skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift to 30 pounds.
