Role Overview:

We are seeking a Pediatrician who is passionate about community health and providing comprehensive primary care to children and adolescents. You will play a critical role in delivering patient-centered care, ranging from preventive services to managing chronic conditions. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will help shape the health and futures of Chicago’s youth, while also contributing to our broader community health initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Comprehensive Pediatric Care: Provide primary healthcare services, including exams, diagnostics, treatment plans, and follow-up care for children and adolescents.
  • Preventative Health: Emphasize the prevention of diseases by providing age-appropriate immunizations, wellness checks, and health education.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and other health professionals to ensure seamless, integrated care for patients.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in outreach activities such as health fairs and educational programs to promote health awareness and access to care.
  • Supervision & Mentorship: Provide clinical supervision to healthcare staff, including nurse practitioners and medical assistants, while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Quality Improvement: Actively engage in peer reviews and protocol development to enhance clinical care and operational efficiency.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records using our electronic health record (EHR) system, while ensuring adherence to medical guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school, with Board Certification (or eligibility) in Pediatrics.
  2. Licensure: Active Illinois medical license and DEA certification.
  3. Experience: Previous experience in a community health setting or working with underserved populations is highly desirable.
  4. Skills: Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills. Familiarity with EHR systems and a commitment to evidence-based, high-quality care.

Salary and Benefits: 

  1. Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $166,000.00 to $257,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
